Here we are, all together on this planet, on another Thanksgiving Day. Almost seven and a half billion souls trying to get through life without too much pain or hardship. If you’re living in the good old US of A, Canada, the UK, or Europe, you’re probably eating well, have a roof over your head, even a cell phone to call friends and relatives to tell them you’re grateful for them in your life. If you’re warm when it’s cold and your tummy is full, if someone loves you, there’s a lot to be thankful for.
I’ve been on the planet a long time, and when I was much younger, I wished and hoped, pleaded and cajoled the Universe to bless me with a certain man or the perfect gig, but slowly came to realize that gratitude for what I already had created more joy than insisting something was missing because I didn’t have such-and-such or so-and-so. For the last several years, instead of praying, begging, asking for something, I surrender my yearnings to God, the Holy Spirit, the Universe – whatever you call Whoever is running this show, and say “I turn this over to you….” What a relief! I felt such a glorious connection with All-That-Is when I began to surrender my desires that I got “Thy Will Be Done” tattooed on my shoulder. When you relinquish imaginary control, it feels like taking off a very tight bra with a pinchy metal underwire! I unhook that thing as soon as I walk through my door.
I know the holiday season can be loaded with stress for all kinds of reasons. Try this: Saying Thank You feels so much better than announcing to the Universe that you’re lacking something, that you need whatever or whoever it is to complete you, to make you happy. It may sound corny, but besides eating way too much yummy food, Thanksgiving is a perfect day to compile a gratitude list. “I am thankful for…” My fluffy cat, my adored son, my dear like-minded friends, my comfortable couch, the glorious tree in the backyard, the music that moves me, the food on my plate… and read it aloud, adding to it every day. Saying Thank You expands your heart and makes room for more things to say Thank you for. Happy happy Giving Thanks Day, dolls!

You my lady, are a gem ♡ I am grateful for your uplifting words ♡
This was the kindest thing I’ve read in awhile. Thanks for the warm and fuzzies. <3
Inspiring words for everyday. Letting go of control is difficult, but so liberating.
Thankful for you and your beautiful soul, Miss P.
Howard Morlan I’m very grateful that besides the many cool ‘n wonderful books (Soulfully Written) , the GTO shows I saw, the way you ALWAYS take me back to a thousand stories of my own through the mazes of the Strip / Canyons/Beaches, that along with ALL of that, that there is someone out there who remembers when you could get in to The Reseda Walk-In for 49 cents , and the multi-jeweled majesty that was the Saugas-Newhall Swap-Meets before vendor-greed sullied it’s hallowed aisles …You’ve earned every frame of the snapshots in your scrapbooks. Happy EVERYTHING Pamela !!! ~ <3 ~

So many times, we put ourselves at the bottom of our love-list, making sure anyone and everyone comes first. Why? I’m a lifelong Jesus-loving girl, as most of you know, and something he said two thousand years ago might give you another perspective: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” YOURSELF. Yes, that’s what he said -- it’s fine and dandy to love love LOVE yourself too.
Read on and discover the secrets of self-love and the joys of loving others...
